1. DOWNLOAD THE MASK TEMPLATE
And use the downloaded template in your phone, computer or simply print it.
2. SELECT THE DESIGN CATEGORY
It is important that your design reflects one of the following themes: Black lives Matter, Woman or Earth. Once you decide your design category, start creating your inspirational motif.
3. GETTING STARTED
Lay the pattern mask template standing in the same direction as received.
Extend the drawing to reach the bleeding of the mask pattern (blue line).
Do not pass the limit line (red line).
4. DESIGN YOUR MASK
- Free-hand painters:
You can paint employing any technique over the mask template using pencil or fine point markers, then give color with crayons, watercolors, markers, colored chalk, acrylic paint, etc.
It is especially important that final colors on the artwork are saturated and not blurred.
Scan design and save file to upload to website, follow instructions on step 5.
- Computerized designs:
Use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator program.
Insert the downloaded template in your artboard.
Create computerized design inside the mask template.
The design can have a separated layer or use fill pattern option.
Design file minimum resolution should be 150 dpi,
5. SAVING YOUR DESIGN
Identify your design under the following information for your file name:
Your first name Initial and your last name, followed by Student ID, and School District Name.
For example, for: John Smith, Student ID: 1234567, School District: Miami-Dade
File name would be: jsmith1234567miamidade
6. SUBMITTING YOUR DESIGN
Free-hand designs must be scanned and saved under .pdf or .png files extensions.
Computerized artworks must be submitted under .psd file extension.
